The Grey Tail benefitting The Baco Fund is a tack shop featuring an excellent selection of new and gently used tack, apparel, gear and supplies for Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, and Western disciplines.
The Grey Tail is much more than just a tack shop. It was established in 2010 to support The Baco Fund, a non-profit 501c3, created in honor of the late, great horse, Baco. See his story on our story page! The fund helps horse owners in need when unexpected horse-related expenses arise.
Our knowledgeable staff is dedicated to helping you with all of your horse and rider related needs!

The store is now located in the Ranch House at The Horse Protection League (HPL): 17999 W. 60th Ave. Arvada, CO 80403.
- HPL is a gated property. YOU MUST OPEN, CLOSE AND LATCH THE GATE BEHIND YOU WHEN ENTERING OR EXITING THE PROPERTY. Be sure to loop the gate chains around the stakes on the edge of the driveway, so the gate remains open as you drive through. This is very important on breezy or windy days.
- The Ranch House is white with red trim. It is located behind the main barn area on the property.
- Parking for the store is located parallel to the Ranch House on either side of the fence line.
-Please refrain from visiting other areas of the property besides the store. If you are interested in learning more about HPL, please visit their website for more information and volunteer opportunities: thehpl.org
